A former Reuters Chief Correspondent, newspaper editor and aide to senior policymakers, Douwe is a highly experienced communicator and advisor. Over the last two decades Douwe has advised, interviewed or written about many of the most prominent financial figures in the euro zone and North America. He reported on the collapse of Lehman Brothers as Reuters Chief Correspondent M&A and Investment Banking in London. He then moved to to Washington D.C. to cover financial regulation in the US. He was editor-in-chief of the Luxembourg Times from 2019 to 2023. Fluent in four languages, he is also a former speechwriter to Klaus Regling, Managing Director of the European Stability Mechanism (ESM). Today, he is training and advising leaders in the business and public sectors, equipping them to tell stories that can captivate broad audiences.
